Making Melody in Our Hearts

Singing to the Lord is a great way to teach your children to praise Him. Learn to be discerning in what you teach your children. Words mean things, so it matters what we sing. A great place to start is with good ol hymns.

Check out this post to see a list of hymns and songs that we love: Sing Praises!

The New England Primer

This little book was the first textbook in America for children. Knowledge starts with the fear of God (Proverbs 1:7). This book allowed children to learn through the context of Truth. Can you imagine if this primer was still in our curriculum today?!

I highly recommend getting this book and teaching your children from it. Whether you are homeschooling or not, this is a book that will lay a foundation of Truth.
