SPF 140: Seasons of Life (Faith & Practice No. 1)

Just like there are seasons that divide the year with weather patterns and day light, there are seasons the mark a faithful woman’s life. Today on the Faith and Practice series I will share some wisdom about some common seasons marked for women and how we can be encouraged and prove faithful in them. This is SPF Faith and Practice No. 1.

Seasons of Life

Gregg Harris breaks down life in to 4 seasons that typically follow our age:

Preparation (0-20)

Production (20-40)

Provision (40-60)

Protection (60-end of life)

Each season generally has a focus and can be an exciting time of learning, growing, and advancing the Kingdom of God.

Thinking about our life in seasons should not make us feel like we are prisoners or confined to a timeline box, but give us freedoms to enjoy our stage that God has us in, even if we anticipate a future season.

A few insights as we consider the seasons of our lives:

  1. Each season holds training and preparation for what is next.

  2. Each season involves learning and practice.

  3. Each season is a time to practice contentment and patience.
